Boeing Stearman Experience over Oxford
Taste the American dream with this stunning Boeing Stearman Experience! Often referred to as the American Tiger Moth, the Boeing Stearman is a classic open-cockpit aircraft that allows your hair to blow in the wind, whilst you sit back and enjoy flying a piece of aviation history.
On the day of the flight your fully qualified instructor will give you a pre-flight briefing to explain what will happen throughout your experience. When it’s time to get geared up in a classic leather jacket and helmet before climbing boarding.
(Fantastic photo opportunity!)
Your pilot will then show you how to safely climb aboard into the front seat of the bi-plane and securely strap you in. Once both of you sat in your pilot will talk you through the controls and go over what will happen through the flight.
Then with a giant roar the classic radial engine you will power down the runway for a flight of pure nostalgia!
“Truly a step back in time and a flight not to be missed!”
After flying over it, why not visit Blenheim Palace which is just down the road?
Fun Fact: The Boeing Stearman was used as a primary training aircraft by the U.S army corps and U.S navy before and during WWII.
