Dragon Rapide Flights over Cambridgeshire & London

Take a trip back in time with our classic Dragon Rapide Flight over Cambridge!  With only a few fully restored Dragon Rapide’s in the UK, take the chance to sit in an original 1930’s 8 passenger seat bi-plane and relive the pre-war era.

Choose from 3 routes starting and ending at Duxford. Sightsee over Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket or London where you get to see the beautiful British countryside from a birds-eye view. In addition to the flight, the voucher holder will gain free entry into the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.  Family and friends will gain half price entry.

Sightseeing Tour of Cambridge – 20 minutes

Have the chance to view the ancient city of Cambridge from up top.
Take off into the skies and make your way to the pinnacles of King’s College chapel, pass over the intricate courtyards of Trinity and St Johns and finish your sightseeing flight overlooking the waters of the River Cam as it flows through the University gardens.
Then have your chance at discovering what Duxford Imperial War Museum has to offer. Take yourself back in time and learn about the roles of Britain’s well known aircraft and what efforts they did during the Second World War.

Flight over Cambridge, Ely and Newmarket – 45 minutes

Take to the skies from Duxford and enjoy the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside from the windows of this classic 1930’s airliner.
View the historic, prestigious university city of Cambridge from the air, having the chance to see the Cambridgeshire skyline of colleges.
Sightsee the magnificent spires of the King’s College Chapel and the twists of the River Cam flowing through the gardens of the University grounds before soaring over the Romanesque Cathedral of Ely and Racecourse of Newmarket, birthplace of thoroughbred horse racing.

Flight over Landmarks of London – 1 hour 10 min

Climb gracefully into the air and navigate southerly to the famous UK capital skyline of London, first passing over the state of the art Olympic Village, where you can keep an eye out for 2012 legacy tower, The Arcelormittal Orbit, which is also Britain’s largest piece of public art. Then follow the Thames where you will fly over London’s unmistakable Tower Bridge, Big Ben and Parliament and of course mustn’t forget seeing the world famous Buckingham Palace.
Before landing safely onto the ground and having the opportunity to explore the historical depths the Duxford Imperial War Museum. The voucher holder has free entry and their guests get in for half price.
