Chipmunk Flying Lesson over Cardiff
Ever wished to get a hands-on flying lesson in a Chipmunk? This is the perfect gift for any aviation and history enthusiast, eager to fly in one of the most iconic flying machines.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by your fully qualified and experienced instructor who will take you through a pre-flight brief, explain the aircraft controls and what to expect on your flight.
If you have any questions about your flight your pilot will be more than happy to answer. It’s then time to get seated and comfortable ready for takeoff.
Flying out of Cardiff you will immediately see the span of the beautiful Cardiff Bay come into view. Also capture the skyline of Cardiff City with the Monmouthshire mountains faintly standing proud in the distance. To the West, admire the coastline of South Wales as it curves towards Pembrokeshire.
This original RAF primary training aircraft was first built in the late 1940’s and used training young RAF cadets until 1996 when it was replaced by the Scottish Aviation Bulldog.
Still displaying it classic RAF colour scheme, The ‘Chippie’ you’ll be flown in around the Welsh skies will be sure to turn heads!
After your flight you could always visit Caerphilly Castle and witness its impressive leaning tower and classic draw bridges.
