Flying Experience in Devon
Enjoy this light aircraft flight experience with a difference. With our amazing Motor-gliding flight experience over Devon and Somerset, you’ll take off in an aeroplane and soar like a glider! In other words, two planes in one!
You’ll fly in a motor-glider, which is a cross between a glider and a normal aeroplane. It looks a lot like an aeroplane, however with its longer wings it will enable you to turn the engine off and gracefully soar like a glider. It’s a lot quieter without that noisy engine!
During your flight you’ll enjoy a double dose of excitement. Starting with taking off as you would in a normal light aircraft, sightsee over the gorgeous Jurassic Coast and classic seaside towns of Lyme Regis and Exmouth, before making your way safely back down to the ground.
If you’re a little nervous on the day, it’s fine to ask your instructor to keep the engine on. Either way, you’ll learn to fly the aircraft and have a chance to look at the local Devonshire landmarks. If you live locally, you could even fly over your house!
