Gliding Aerotow Launch over Wiltshire
During our Gliding Aerotow Launch over Wiltshire, you and your qualified instructor will climb to the height of 2000ft or 3000ft after being launched behind a tow plane in a two-seat glider. Once released from the tow plane, you can sit back , relax and enjoy an almost silent flight, with only the sound of the wind whistling around you.
After taking in the breath-taking panoramic views, you will have chance to take to the controls and have a go yourself at flying a glider! Depending on the weather conditions, your instructor will try and catch a thermal or two, enabling you to reach new heights and potentially extend the duration of your flight – fingers-crossed!
More than just a gift!
All our gliding experiences include three months’ FREE membership of the club you fly at. So if you can’t wait to get back in the air, you can fly at member rates. It’s one of the cheapest forms of flight, and the gliding club will answer any questions you may have on learning to fly gliders.

- Gliding is very weather dependent and cannot fly in certain conditions such as high winds, rain, fog.
We cannot predict the length of your flight, although every effort will be made to ensure you get the best and safest flight for the weather conditions. We recommend you telephone the airfield before setting out to check that the weather is suitable (phone numbers are in your voucher presentation pack). - Minimum age of 12 years or over and must safely fit in a parachute.
- Minimum height of 4ft 6in.
- Maximum weight of 16st/100kgs.
