RAF Aerial Tour Experience
Get your camera at the ready and take in the panoramic view of the active RAF bases of Oxfordshire in our incredible RAF Aerial Tour!
Get gear up in the classic green RAF flying suit before walking out with your pilot and shown around your aircraft. It’s then time to take to the skies and head towards RAF Fairford, Brize Norton or RAF Benson. Capture the sights of the massive beasts of the B-52’s at Fairford, the C-17’s (Globe Master) at Brize where you may even get to see a refuelling tanker fly-by or the active helicopters at Benson.
RAF Brize Norton is the Royal Air Force largest station based in Oxfordshire and home to the Air-to-Air (AAR) forces as well as the RAF’s Strategic and Tactical Air Transport. The C-17 Globe Master’s, Hercules and Voyagers are based here. FACT: Boris Johnson’s private jet “The Boris Jet’ is based at Brize – keep your eyes open for it!
RAF Fairford is best known as home to the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) air show. Currently the station is a standby airfield where it isn’t in use everyday. It’s most prominent use is as site to the United States Air Force B-52’s.
Based in South Oxfordshire, RAF Benson is the main operating base for the Joint Helicopter Command as well as home to the Puma HC2 and Chinook helicopters. Benson is also station for the National Police Air Service and Thames Valley Air Ambulance which operate 24/7.
This flight is certainly an experience that won’t be forgotten and definitely adds that ‘wow’ factor to a special birthday gift.
